Julie Ryder


Ryder is one of Australia's foremost textile artists. Ryder started her initial training in science, working in a veterinary research laboratory for many years. In 1994 Ryder developed a hybrid practice of art and science by using fruit fermentation to colour and pattern cloth. Ryder's practice has developed to include screen printing, netting and digital printing, Ryder undertakes private and public commissions and exhibits nationally and internationally.
